Beautiful quality dry wax canvas. This fabric is water resistant, which means that the water does not run off completely (unlike the oilskin), but it also does not penetrate the fabric. This fabric has a matt look, feels soft and has the perfect thickness for bags, backpacks, messenger bags but also for example parkas.
Unlike oilskin or other waxes like i.e. beeswax, this waxed canvas will not show lighter colored creases where it has been folded. The wax finish does make the canvas a bit stiffer than regular non-waxed fabric and contributes to its characteristic 'used look'.

This canvas is very tightly woven and leaves perforation holes, so use as fine a (microtex) needle as possible, adjusted of course to your layer thickness. |
