Skill Level: Advanced beginner/Intermediate. Some bag making experience will be helpful.

Materials needed:

+ Requirements based on 44” (110cm) wide fabric.

• 1/2 yard (=~ 50cm) front/back and exterior pocket
• 1 yard (=~ 92cm) lining (1 1/2 (=~140cm) if fully lining front pocket)
• (2x) 1/4 yard (=~23cm) cuts for straps
• 2/3 yard (=~66cm) exterior gusset (includes interior pocket pieces)
• 2 1/4 yards fusible interfacing (Pellon SF101 = 50cm wide) (alternative =~ 1,2m G700 )
• 1 yard Pellon Craft-Fuse 808/809 or canvas or ByAnnie's Soft and Stable (alternative =~ H640 or style-vil)
• 18” zipper for recessed top (optional) (=~45cm)
• 1 yard 1/4” wide elastic (=~90cm elastic, 5 to 8mm wide)
• 15” (=~40cm) of 1/2" piping (handmade or storebought)
• (optional) 14mm magnetic snap or 2” (5cm) of 3/4” (=~2cm) wide hook + loop tape (optional)

Attention!

This pattern consists of a paper booklet with an English manual (and therefore also dimensions in inches - converting to metric measures is very simple: 1 inch = 2.5 cm, 1 yard = 92cm) and does require some knowledge of English sewing terms (or readiness for a little preparatory research). The manual itself is richly illustrated with drawings at each step, so don't be scared off.
Only the non-rectangular pattern parts are supplied on paper, the other pattern parts you draw yourself or cut out directly using the supplied cutting labels!
